That Boy Can’t Dance!

This summer marks a special milestone for Kelli and me – 24 years of marriage! One of our favorite ways to keep the fun alive is through creative date nights, and we’ve been sharing some of our adventures on Instagram and Facebook. We hope it inspires others to see how easy and enjoyable it can be to intentionally date your spouse.

We’ve tried everything from glass blowing to hilarious Walmart photo hunts and even running 10 miles together (though some might argue about that being a relaxing date!). Our latest escapade involved tackling the viral “Your Way is Better” dance by Forrest Frank. Let’s just say, as the video clearly demonstrates, my dancing skills are… enthusiastic, if not exactly graceful! But hey, we had a blast, and that’s the point.

These moments of rest, relaxation, and fun aren’t just for us. We believe that prioritizing our relationship is vital, not only for our own connection but also for our five kids.

That’s why we’re so excited to invite you to join us in a vision close to our hearts: Tejas and The Sabbath House. We envision this space as a haven where individuals and couples alike can intentionally unplug from the daily grind, find rest, and focus on their relationship – both with each other and with the Lord.

The Sabbath House is nearing completion, and we’re now looking for housewarming gifts that will help us create a truly restful and welcoming environment for all who visit.
