It’s not every day that people get offered an opportunity to experience a life changing program. We hear about neat opportunities and always wish we could have had such a chance, but things don’t always seem to fall our way. The Tejas Summer Ministry Program truly is a life changing opportunity for students in high school and college. This is a paid position where students spend their summer either serving in outdoor recreation and life guarding, or serving meals or hosting our gift shop. The best part about working here at Tejas is that we put a special emphasis on taking time out of a daily schedule to invest in knowing Jesus more through our intensive discipleship program.

While aspects of the program include bible study, scripture memory, and accountability, we always begin each day with a scheduled 30 minutes of personal alone time with God. Spending personal time with God is the best way to grow in a solid relationship with him.
