Hands at Work, Hearts of Service

We are so grateful for the volunteer groups serving with us this month at Tejas. Thanks to the incredible efforts of our RVICS and SOWERs volunteers, so much meaningful work has been accomplished around camp just this month!

• Replacing the stairs and railing on the pool slide tower
• Rebuilding the bridge leading to the pool
• Repairing posts along the motel porch
• Creating a new brick path by the Hub
• Repairing playground railings
• Installing new backdrops for axe throwing
• Painting the stage area at Marmax
• Painting porch ceilings
• Organizing new life jackets
• Assisting with office projects
• Helping with laundry and behind-the-scenes support
• Repairing Meadows sprinkler system

Because of volunteers like these, we’re able to keep Tejas well cared for and ready to welcome guests for rest, connection, and growth. We truly couldn’t do this without their generosity, hard work, and servant hearts.

Want to help?

Our next Serve Day is Saturday, March 28, and we’d love for you to join us! Projects will be happening all around camp throughout the day — from landscaping and painting to construction, cleanup, and even office support. There’s truly something for everyone, and volunteers of all ages and skill levels are welcome.

You can expect a day filled with meaningful work, great community, and plenty of fun. We’ll provide lunch and wrap up the day with some enjoyable recreation in the late afternoon.
